El Buen Samaritano’s Short Film Workshop at the Austin School of FilmThe two day film workshop is designed for youth students to explore genre filmmaking just in time for Halloween!
Youth participants will work together collaboratively to create a horror themed short film from start to finish learning every step of the way.
We’ll exclusively work to build a story, set, and film in Austin School of Film’s studio spaces, equipment, wardrobe, and SFX make up.Each students will experience hands-on topics such as:
– Storyboarding
– Sound Development
– Camera movement
– Lighting
– Prop + Set Building
– SFX Makeup + CostumesStudents are encouraged to bring fun props and will have the opportunity to get horrified with fun costumes, DIY prop-making, set design, and SFX makeup. All students will leave with a copy of their final project (short film) and fun behind the scenes photos.Session dates: October 22 & 23, 2022 from 10:00am – 4:00pm
Only ten (10) spots available for Middle School students (6th-8th grade).
