El Buen Samaritano was awarded a challenge grant from The Moody Foundation for our Hands for Hope (H4H) 2021 Food Equity and Access campaign. El Buen’s H4H campaign raises awareness about hunger in Central Texas and supports year-round pantry services and our flagship holiday meal distribution events in November & December. Since 2016, The Moody Foundation has generously provided a challenge match to El Buen, and in 2020 and 2021 The Moody Foundation contributions were critical in allowing us to serve four times our capacity in response to the pandemic.
