Support Groups

El Buen provides support groups in Spanish to address the diverse needs of clients. Our support groups are facilitated by a bilingual Licensed Master Social Worker. All support groups are free of charge and open to clients, families and community members.

Elder Support Group
This support group is for clients 55 and older who would benefit from sharing life experiences from others, discuss topics related to various health topics, and address feelings of isolation that may come with life situations. Groups are held in Spanish on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month from 9:30 to 11 am in the clinic conference room.

Take Charge of Your Diabetes
This support group is for clinic patients and community members who are living with diabetes and experiencing challenges that commonly come with managing diabetes. This group provides a place to discuss some of the challenges you experience, get support from group members, and learn strategies to meet your health goals. Groups are held the first Wednesday of every month from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the clinic conference room.

Women’s Support Group
This bi-weekly support group is open to adult women who have identified a need for extra support to manage life’s stressors. Various topics specific to women’s issues will be discussed such as emotional health, professional development, stress related to immigration issues, domestic violence prevention, self-care.
