This summer at El Buen Samaritano, Six (6) older adults and six (6) middle school aged students participated in an 8 week intergenerational program. The program’s focus was aimed at increasing the sense of engagement and connectedness between both the youth and older adult community. The middle school aged students participated in leadership development, digital and computer literacy courses, and digital photography sessions. At the end of the program, both middle school aged students and their adult partners each created a photo album with photos they shot and edited.
Below you will find their audio testimonies of their time together and their time with their partner. Please enjoy and view the accompanying photos taken by the intergen participants that are a part of our Photovoice Exhibit.
