Unnatural Causes: Inequality is Making Us Sick, El Buen Samaritano

Spring 2021 Training Series Presented by El Buen Samaritano in collaboration with People’s Community Clinic, The Texas Council on Family Violence, CARDEA, UT School of Nursing, and The Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.

This spring, El Buen Samaritano’s Community Health Worker Training and Leadership Center will host our second inaugural CHW training series. The series will be hosted virtually and open to all whom are interested. CHW and other Continuing Education Credits, such as those for social workers will be available for most of these trainings, as noted.* They will be held from 9AM – 12AM every other Wednesday morning, unless otherwise noted. The training sessions will begin March 24, 2021 and run through June 30, 2021. Unnatural Causes: Inequality is Making Us Sick, El Buen Samaritano
This course will address the impact of how race and social class impact our health. We will discuss and examine how racial inequality imposes an additional burden on people of color and negatively impacts their health.
