Our Health and Domestic Violence: The Intersection, Texas Council on Family Violence
The health impacts of intimate partner violence can span the life course and greatly impact a survivor’s ability to live a safe, well, and stable life. Survivors may not readily recognize the connection between the violence they have experienced and their health outcomes. Advocates and healthcare professionals often lack confidence or resources to broach makes these connections or to have these conversations with survivors/patients. This training will provide attendees with information and best practices to maximize survivors’ resources and entry points to services.
