COVID Vaccine Program, Austin Public Health

Spring 2021 Training Series Presented by El Buen Samaritano in collaboration with People’s Community Clinic, The Texas Council on Family Violence, CARDEA, UT School of Nursing, and The Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.

This spring, El Buen Samaritano’s Community Health Worker Training and Leadership Center will host our second inaugural CHW training series. The series will be hosted virtually and open to all whom are interested. CHW and other Continuing Education Credits, such as those for social workers will be available for most of these trainings, as noted.* They will be held from 9AM – 12AM every other Wednesday morning, unless otherwise noted. The training sessions will begin March 24, 2021 and run through June 30, 2021. To register for these trainings please contact Amanda Doenges, Associate Director of Health Literacy by email at adoenges@elbuen.org. Zoom invitations will be sent via Outlook upon registration.

Join us at our rescheduled Community Health Worker (CHW) Dialogue and Networking meeting. Hosted by Cardea and the University of Texas School of Nursing with support from Austin Public Health (APH), we will share information and resources on the local COVID vaccine program. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and dialogue with APH and other CHWs.
